Management development

Our staff team and their managers are key to facilitating the work of Active Prospects. For this reason, we invest heavily in the training, development, networking and advice and guidance to make sure all our managers have the leadership and practical skills they need.

  • Everyone new to management and leadership with Active Prospects receives initial training in our Manager Induction Standards. This also applies to those who’ve managed care and support services with other organisations.
  • We can help everyone in a leadership or management role to gain the qualifications they need for their particular role. Managers working in direct care and support can obtain a recognised vocational qualification, such as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care.
  • We also provide a structured training programme on Active Prospects HR policies and practice
  • The HR and Learning & Development team are working with managers to develop a framework setting out key leadership capabilities and qualities.                  

Active Prospects is committed to ensuring that all our people in leadership and/or management roles are fully supported in their role – through development, networking or advice and guidance. 

We focus on supporting managers with sharing good practice and building common understanding of the behaviour, skills and knowledge involved in leading and managing staff.
