QUALITY ASSURANCE

At Active Prospects we want to ensure the services we deliver are of the same quality we would want for ourselves or members of our own family, much the same as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspect services using the 'mum test'.  We value the people we support and respect what they have to say about us. Talking to people in their homes is vital to improving our services and forms part of our two-pronged monitoring process:

Internal Monitoring

This is our own self-assessment process, which includes:

  • Annual self-audit procedures that allow staff and the people we support to monitor progress against quality standards
  • Monthly staff meetings
  • Visiting the people we support to discuss their direct experience of our services
  • Regular satisfaction surveys to gather views of the people we support and others on the quality of our services

Should you have any comments or feedback on our staff or services, please use our Feedback Form for further guidance.

External Monitoring

All our services are inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This is a statutory requirement. Several of our funding bodies also monitor our services on a regular basis. These include Surrey County Council (through its Care Managers), Surrey County Council Supporting People Team, the London Borough of Hounslow and Hyde Housing Association.

To access the CQC website you can click here. Or if you click on the Services & Vacancies tab at the top of this page you will be able to access CQC reports for each individual service.

Constantly Improving the Quality of our Services

We have recently revised and updated our support quality monitoring processes to ensure that everything we do fully reflects our values. Our next step is to ensure that the people we support are fully involved in the monitoring of our services.

We also demonstrate our commitment to quality by our activity within other local groups:

The Surrey Partnership Board, for further details please visit their website by clicking www.surreypb.org.uk

The South East Surrey Local Valuing People Group, for further details please visit their website by clicking www.surreypb.org.uk/groups
